First half: breezy but unabashedly banal. Second half: riddle with toe-curling romantic mush. Sum total: a journey without maps that weaves concentric circle around sweet nothings and empty prittle-prattle. That, in a nutshell, is Imtiaz Ali's perambulatory rom com Jab Harry Met Sejal. It vegetation you wishing they hadn't met.

except you have been living under a rock, you would be very well conscious of a particular species of automobiles which has caught the fancy of car buyer unlike anything else. The rear admittedly is not the best angle for the Nexon where it reveals itself as more of a hatch on stilts but still slightly cool looking tail-lamps merge with the earthenware paint finish 'x-factor' line.

What about interiors? Again it is a big jump on or after even the Hexa and the Tiago. The design works very well and indeed looks quite best and well finished. Yes, while it may share a few bits and pieces (like the steering wheel) with its stablemates, elsewhere quality and looks have been a notch up and we say in terms of interior design it is in the midst of the class best right now.

The centre console is tastefully designed with hurry top 6.5 inch HD touchscreen being the main highlight. The location of the touchscreen is as such that you do not need to take your eyes off the road to glance.

The touchscreen workings quite well and thanfully its a much bigger size than in the Hexa too. In terms of features other than that there is plenty to talk about. The Harman infotainment system get Android Auto with Apple CarPlay pending soon. Along with that there is an 8-speaker system that admittedly sounds very nice plus push push button start, rear camera display, reverse parkin sensors, steering controls, climate control, rear ac vents (two speed blower control), power adjustable and retractable mirrors, dual airbags with ABS.

The coolest feature though is wearable key which looks like a strength band. Other than the usual key fob, this wearable key gives you the convenience to not bear the key fob, instead wear this and the car will unlock itself with you exhausting this.

storage space is done very well too with a large cooled glovebox plus the door pockets have an umbrella holder too, along with that the centre console has a sliding storage area which is useful another time. Few things that we noticed though as the rear camera display could have been better, the handbrake is positioned on the left, plus we feel the gear lever and the drive mode selector take up a huge amount of room and reaching out for the small USB slot is awkward.

In terms of space do not let its scope fool you as its a Tata Motors product all right. More than the diesel even if we loved the petrol more and it suited to the character of the Nexon as a agile crossover. Compared to the diesel, its modification is superb and while thanks to its weight and lack of torque, you do require to use the gearbox more in the city, the gearbox and clutch itself is lighter and feels better tahn the diesel. However on one occasion past that, it gathers buzz at the higher revs and is quite fun to develop unlike the diesel. In terms of ride and handling it is one of the more fun cars and one of the best Tata cars.

Everytime we constrain a new Tata car we say it is the best they have made and that shows the strides that the car-maker is taking. The Nexon is Tata Motors triumph a new level. The design is the new segment target and that alone will win the Nexon many buyers. But the interiors and general quality is a big step up, it drives quite well, is spacious and by and large ticks all the correct boxes. What we like is that it stands out from other cars and it does so well. Yes it is not perfect and few issues need to be sorted but if price sensibly (i.e. below the Brezza) the Nexon is the subsequent success chapter for Tata Motors after the Tiago. And this time it promise to be a bigger one.

Twin trouble capers come preloaded with a certain degree of comedian verve. So does Mubarakan, directed by Anees Bazmee of No Entry and Singh is Kinng reputation. Mubarakan tries too hard to tickle our humorous bones and the effort show.

Its songs and comic gag are of the routine variety. It seeks to drive itself on the back of the seductive power of familiarity, manages to do a tolerable job pre-interval but, taken as a whole, Mubarakan is neatly and niftily package crap that never stops reeking of stupidity. If there is anything positive in this attempt laugh riot, it is its refusal to take itself seriously - an attribute that stand the film in good stead when it begins to make bigger beyond the plausible and the drivable.

Mubarakan is a comedy that revolve around two weddings and a whole lot of confusion. Before the lovebirds can have their nuptials solemnized in a gurudwara, they boast to fly though two-and-a-half hours of turmoil caused by familial pressure and mistaken amorous liaison.

The twins alienated at birth are played by Arjun Kapoor. One, Charan, grows up as a turbaned Sardar in the home of Baldev (Pavan Malhotra) in Punjab. The clumsy Charan, five minutes Karan's junior, loves Nafisa Qureishi (Neha Sharma) but lacks the guts to let his conservative folks know his feelings for the girl. As a consequence, his minister and his London-based aunt decide that he is a suitable boy for Binkle (Athiya Shetty), offspring of a wealthy Punjabi (Rahul Dev).

The next thing that the cocksure Karan knows is that he is currently the chosen one for Binkle. He, too, seeks the involvement of Kartar in order to wriggle out of the hole he has dig for himself.

The rigmarole is pleasurable up to a point but once the idiocy quotient peaks, the overlong Mubarakan goes rather haywire. Yet, if it isn't as insufferable as other usual Bollywood romantic comedies, a part of the credit goes to the actors. Anil Kapoor, who is as wild as ever, lends some lustre to the proceedings with his impressive energy level and funny one-liners.

Arjun Kapoor is far less dependable in his double role, but he does strike a few purple patches along the way, demonstrating a comic flair that cries out for a better pictures than this one. The script gives Athiya Shetty the rough end of the stick. Her character, as Kartar says at one point, is like a tennis ball being lobbed back and forth among Charan's side of the court and Karan's without being allowed any agency of her own. Mubarakan, nevertheless, gives Ileana D'Cruz far more space and she make the most of the opening.

Neha Sharma, in a particular appearance, is allowed little that could be described as special in a role that definitely deserved more attention.
